Orthomosaic maps are a grouping of many overlapping images of a defined area which are processed to create a new, larger “orthomosaic”: a highly detailed, up-to-date map that is in true scale.
But more than just being a nice high-resolution map, the meta-information within an orthomosaic map allows for point clouds, volumetrics, NDVI, 3D tours, and more.
This opens up endless possibilities for your business: allow clients to virtually tour your construction site via 2D or 3D maps for visual progress report, deliver up-to-date maps of your real estate to potential buyers, calculate raw materials on a construction site or easily conduct inspections over difficult terrain.
Our team can deliver highly detailed, up-to-date maps of your property saving you time, money and manpower.
Get a new perspective
Google Maps are great, but the images tend to be at least a couple of years old and lack the resolution for doing real work. Make your own maps and get a new perspective on things with accurate, high resolution imagery you control.
3D model-based stitching
We use the most cutting-edge methods available for creating our maps. Combining multiple looks at an area as an aircraft flies over allows us to create a 3D model from which can derive stunningly accurate orthophoto maps. The textured 3D model can be downloaded and previewed online. (Sample)
Georeferencing is what aligns your images to known points on the ground. It is not required, but with a few clicks you can accurately reference your map and use it as an overlay is many GIS systems or Google Earth. Maps Made Easy is the Internet’s only online georeferencing interface.
